Some people like Audrey best, others prefer Katherine but, as far as the Lounge is concerned, neither Hepburn can hold a candle to the late 90’s girl rock band of the same name.
During their time together Hepburn enjoyed three top twenty hits in the UK, (I Quit, Bugs & Deep Deep Down,) as well as providing tracks for Joss Whedon’s teen-vampire-angst-o-thon Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
Now, fresh from her recent appearance on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Hepburn bassist Sarah Davies is joining the Lounge to take play the female lead in the upcoming series Prognosis Spooky. Sarah will play Femme Fatal Herring Rouge in a story that sees Professor Spook come over all Dick Van Dyke as he attempts to solve a medical mystery and a spate of murders.
Principle photography has already wrapped so we’ll be posting more news and some pictures here soon. In the meantime why not check out Sarah and the rest of Hepburn terrorising Sunnydale High as Vampires in the video for I Quit.
Regular visitors to the Lounge all know Moon-Gal is a sexy space aged superheroine, who fell through a hole in space and time while attempting to beat Osama Bin-Laden to the planet Mars, but it seems a lot of you would like to know more about the stunning actress who fills Moon-Gal’s regulation Space Fatigues, Eleanor James.
Eleanor first came to the attention of genre fans in the 2005 horror film FORREST OF THE DAMMED, in which she played a Fallen Angel, (with a taste for human flesh,) along side Tom Savini, the man behind the makeup effects for George A Romero’s zombie masterpiece Dawn of The Dead. The following summer Eleanor teamed up with the Lounge for the first time to play Athena, a shoe model with a terrible secret, in The All New Canning Town Fox Show, which lead to her taking on the lead role of Moon-Gal in the Lounge’s next series MOON-GAL & THE EMERALD OF YESTERDAY. Since then, Eleanor has appeared in a number of TV shows and Films, including a music video for GIRLS ALOUD and the title role in Pat Higgins 2007 horror, HELLBRIDE.
Recently Eleanor completed work on two more genre productions, BRAINCELL, (alongside Eileen Daly and Matt Berry from The IT Crowd,) and UNRATED a zombie film from notorious German Filmmakers Timo Rose and Andreas Schnaas… And, if that wasn’t enough, Eleanor is also shooting two new Moon-Gal adventures, MOON-GAL & THE BIGAMIST’S CHALICE and MOON-GAL & THE SIRENS OF POON-TANG in July 2009.
